Shopping madness — is..being Delhite, you guys can imagine how much shopping freak I would be. No matter how much am tired or bored or whatever, I simply just love to shop & hop.

It gives me soooo much happiness, motivation & satisfaction.

I have explored all the shopping places in Delhi. Be it Karol Bagh, Rajouri Garden, Kamla Nagar, Janpath – Connaught Place Market or any of the malls you talk about.

I can spend on shopping endlessly for which am fond of & that I have to shop for. I simply cannot ignore any damn thing which I want to buy. You can term it as madness but yes am Mad for it.

Shopping is more enjoyable with your best pals having all Masti & gala time. Having all that street food like chaat papri, Aaloo Tikki, Pani Puri which adds more fun to shopping.

I ll just help you to shop with my experience.

Out of the all shopping hubs in delhi, I find Rajouri Garden Market as the most happening place. Its the best market to shop for footwears, latest dress designs, Handbags, casual stuff, Accessories.

For Designer dress material, the best places I find in Rajouri Garden market are Brindhak, Novelty, Shakuntalam, Tammana Boutique. They all have awesome collection with latest designs. Just try them out.

Karol Bagh Market is a place with Market on Ajmal Khan Road & Gaffar Market.

For designer dresses & Lehengas, you may visit Frontier, Chhabra 555, Wedding Sutra, Zohra Emporium.

Gaffar market in Karol Bagh is special for WHOLESALE SHOPPING…..Yesss… Sounds interesting….

Its mainly known as Gadget market, where you can get all gadgets & accessories at whole sale prices. You will also find all of the domestic items at whole price mainly beauty products.

If you are fond of Jewellery, don’t miss to go to Bank Street. Its the famous hub in karol bagh with various Gold & Diamond Jewellery shops including Bridal Jewellery. The designs & variety is endless.

Now lets go to Janpath, yes…it the market specializing in Junk Jwellery, accesories, ethnics, dresses, bags, decorative home items. Its a market with all street stuff but you need to know how to bargain while shopping and if you are successful in hefty bargaining, you made a best deal.

For Footwears, You can find latest designs at Kins, Stelatoes, Klove, Clarks, Heels & Wedges. If you are footwear crazy, then am sure you’ll love to shop here with plenty of latest styles from high heels to wedges, flats to loafers, party wear sandals.

The best part is that Kins, Stelatoes, Klove are such shop which you will find in almost all markets like Karol Bagh, Rajouri Garden Kamla Nagar, Tilak Nagar with hefty discounts & sales.

Last month I went to Singapore & you wont believe I tried out all shopping places. There you have China Town, Buggis street, Mustaffa Market, Little India market.

Winter Break trip to Rajasthan

I always wanted to visit Rajasthan but some or the other way the trip got delayed or canceled due to family, date issue or studies.I was always fascinated about the pink city Jaipur with forts and palaces around the Pink city which described our ancient culture, traditions, our ancestors lifestyle and how local people colorful dresses.

After reading in my school books and my relatives,I found that I should make a plan with my  friends in december winter break to have a group girl tour together to explore Jaipur,Udaipur,Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. We booked the tickets in Shatabdi train for our start journey and it took around 5 hours to reach Jaipur. We had a very warm welcome by the hotel staff with their traditional folk dance and music in local language.I received flowers and smiles from their staff and the locals were very friendly.

All girls ready to ROCK!

First morning in Jaipur,we rented a cab Tata Safari from hotel for the day and asked the driver to take us to all the popular attractions of the city.During the day,we visited  Hawa mahal and Jantar Mantar city palace.Right next to Hawa Mahal, there are so many shops selling souvenirs and  handicrafts wooden items crafted with elegance and handmade. We bought so many of them for our friends and relatives.

Late night we had an awesome camel ride and had an traditional Rajasthani dinner which was very spicy and delicious.

Camel Ride

Next day around 9 pm ,after having the breakfast, we packed our bags and went to Udaipur.another popular city in Rajasthan known for archaeological sites, historical gardens and famous lakes. While traveling ,I could see houses and buildings designed using red sandstone and marble. We visited Maharana Pratap memorial where there is a statue of Rana Pratap Singh and has a big lawn with fountains and ponds. Also the City Palace is a tourist attraction with so many paintings and artifacts dating back to time when our Hindu rulers ruled the kingdom. We did not stay in Udaipur and directly travelled to our next destination Jodhpur.

We visited the Mehrangarh Fort at Jodhpur famous for its building style, architecture and its museum with vast variation collection of paintings, weapons and shining heavy swords. There is museum where we can buy handicrafts and local toys like stuffed animals and birds and wall paintings.

After travelling for hours and 4 days catching amazing structures that includes the forts, lakes and camel ride,we finally boarded our train from Jodhpur to Delhi and had a very enjoyable memorable trip which will last in my memory forever.

Getting myself relaxed in Singapore

It was a shiny summer in India and I was waiting at the airport for catching my flight to fantasy Singapore for the first time. The new Delhi Airport looks like a shining Bride waiting for me have a feel of it.At 5 pm around,I reached the Indira Gandhi International airport for the first time and as soon as I entered the airport ,I felt proud of my country for giving such a big and best airport in the world.I could sense the beautiful architecture and Indian classic designs on the walls.

I got myself checked in with Singapore Airlines and waited at the airport gate to open so that I can quickly get in my dream flight to Singapore. As the announcement came from the Singapore airlines staff,I quickly rushed to get into the bus and then boarded the airline.I was really impressed by the Singapore Airlines staff for their customer service and hospitality throughout the flight and till I deboarded the airplane and landed in Singapore after a smooth journey of 6 hrs.As I got my foot step in Singapore,I could feel the difference with fresh air, green environment with no carbon emissions and friendly atmosphere. My cab was already at the airport and it took me straight to the Hilton hotel.Let me tell you that living in Singapore is not cheap and getting a budget accommodation is also a big problem,so you must plan out accordingly.

While relaxing at Hilton hotel,I really enjoyed the provision of all amenities and facilities that are provided to guests.I specially enjoyed the private balcony facing the sea and stunning landscape.I feel my whole stay experience is so overwhelming that I felt it as perfect place to break away and relax to enjoy the ambient environment.I was also surprised when Indian South Indian  food was served in the morning on special request being in a foreign country.

Relaxing at Singapore

There is much more to Singapore than the Marina Bay adventure and the Helix bridge. There is so much to learn about stunning local art architecture ,museums and variety of flora and fauna and the luxury stay in hotels of Singapore with spa facilities and much more.During my stay ,I got chance to visit Singapore zoo which is spread over large area and having vast variety of animals and reptiles.I took the zoo nightsafari which offers visitors to see the animals closely. Also I visited Singapore Botanical gardens where there is National Orchid Garden covering huge trees and fauna.I explored the area of Marina Bay,a trip to little India and visit Sri Mariamman temple.
Singapore visit will always remain with me special in my life and I will be planning out for another trip soon to Singapore again!

My Experience at So Delhi Tweasure Event

This post gives me confidence and feels proud as it is my first tweasure hunt experience which  I am going to share with all.

I being a Delhi citizen thought that I know everything about Delhi and its places, monuments, museums, archaeological sites and right from north to south and east to West Delhi. But I was wrong and realized this when I came to know about which is a great website for local people, tourists and travelers coming to Delhi and how to spend your day even if you are local. While browsing their website one day,I came to know about a Tweasure hunt competition in Hauz Khas Village.I called my friends and family cousin brother if they want to participate and finally three of us decided to make a team named as Pirates.

Getting ready!

We all registered and reached the Hauz Khas village to get ourselves opportunity to explore various shops to unearth the tweasure hidden and grab maximum points to win prizes worth thousands of rupees and gift vouchers. One of the perks of the adventure campaign was that we got the chance to know every bit of Hauz Khas and different types of shops and restaurants there. One of the perks of participating is that it is free of cost plus chance to get freebies plus refreshment and snacks throughout the event.

As the competition started at sharp 5 pm at the La Rouge restaurant and we were given a sheet with numerous clues and total of 25 tasks for the job.Around 200 participants were there including locals, foreign nationals and event bloggers covering the event. There were various shops and brands who were sponsoring the event and they hosted various exciting activities right from innovative food challenge into the mouth, to the art making competition, multi tasking  singing challenge and many more.

It is really an ultimate experience for me  and my friends though we could not win the ultimate prizes but we were more satisfied in the end with completing all the tasks in time and having a fun filled good time at the tweasure hunt hosted by So delhi!
