I felt like crying after watching this video giving a perfect message to the viewers that there is no joy or celelbration without our family #GharwaliDiwali.
The video is very touching and once you watch it,you realize that we all are running to earn money and have forgot our family and traditions and giving more value to comforts.I would ask everyone to try to sneak into your childhood and look what is missing now and try to celebrate Diwali this year same way as you celebrated in those childhood years.
Taking forward to it,I would like to share you some of my best memories of diwali….
One of the earliest memories of my life is the one when I was 10 years old.My Sanju uncle brought me a bag full of crackers which were full of rockets, chakris, phuljaari, gola and jalebi. It was the first time I got the opportunity to hold those crackers in my hand and at the same time,it was very frightening for me.When I lit my first chakri,I was so happy and started to jump as the jalebi was moving in circle. The funny moment was that my brother who was 12 was more afraid than me and started crying. So till today,I try to poke him on Jalebi incident.
Last year Diwali memory is very emotional and heart braking. My grandmother was suffering from life threatening disease cancer and while I was in Mumbai for my job training.I was never told about it until the day she was admitted to hospital.I loved her very much and we use to share special bond with each other and we are more like brother and sister. So it was her wish or something that I thought of surprising her by visiting home last year.I booked my flight tickets early on day before diwali and reached home early in morning surprising everybody with gifts.I went to grandma room and something what happened next surpised my father completely. When my grandma saw me,She stood up and hugged me tightly and started speaking with me and waving her hand.Later,my father told me that grandma could not even sit on her own and could not even speak to any one from past 3 days and it is some God magic or her willpower that she has stood today.
Last but not least ,the Diwali memory is liting up diyas, making rangolis with my neighbors and visiting my friends and giving greeting cards to my parents every year.Around 7pm on Diwali day, everyone in the family sit to next each other and pray and bow to our ancestors and gods during puja ceremony. We also play a game of Teen Patti and Poker with our neighbors and have a small get together in community hall for dance and masti late night.
Diwali is so close to my heart and I always wish that Diwali festival brings happiness to my family and all wishes of my parents come true. I wish everyone Happy and Prosperous Diwali this year and many more to come!
